He studied graphic design and worked as a copywriter, designer, scriptwriter and director. His radio play series Monster 1983 and Ghostbox are among the most successful productions on Audible Germany. He has received over 30 awards, including Best Short Film (Berlinale 2002), a Golden Record (for Monster 1983), Best Radio Play 2019 (1st place Audience Award for Ghostbox), SPIEGEL-Bestseller and Sélection Nouvelle Voix du PRIX POLAR (France).
